Gun Violence Prevention Series with Glen Ellyn Churches

Concerned about gun violence? St. Mark’s is partnering with Glen Ellyn faith communities First Congregational Church of Glen Ellyn and Faith Lutheran Church to help our congregations understand and respond to the issue of gun violence in our country.

In 2017, the most recent year for which complete data is available, 39,773 people died from gun-related injuries in the U.S., according to the CDC (Pew Research Center). That is about 110 a day.  Some deaths are big news mass shootings.  Some are gang-related street violence. Some are suicides. Some are accidental.

Everyone interested in or concerned about the issue of gun violence is invited to join this series to learn from each other and determine next steps.

The group meets Sunday, January 12 from 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm in Mahon Hall at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 393 N Main Street, Glen Ellyn.
