How to Watch Videos on Facebook

Dear Friends of St. Mark’s:

We are “livestreaming” worship tomorrow. What on earth does that mean?

In short, we are recording the services tomorrow, and you can watch the service in “real time” (that is, as it is happening) on Facebook. The videos will also be stored on Facebook for later viewing, and I will put links on the website for those who don’t have Facebook so they can watch later, too.

A quick guide to watching video on Facebook!

Step 1: Get a Facebook account

Don’t have a Facebook account? Here is a tutorial to get you logged in

Step 2: Search for “St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Glen Ellyn” and “Like” the Page.

Now you can see our Facebook Page where videos will be shown. You can also click here to find our Facebook Page.

Step 3: Get to know the St. Mark’s Facebook Page

Scroll down on the page and look at the center column to see things like Photos and Upcoming Events …..

….and keep scrolling to see Videos. This is where the videos will live after they are recorded.

4) Participate in worship via livestream Sunday morning

Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 8:00 am, 9:15 am, 10:30 am and 1:00 pm, you will see a live video (“livestream”) of worship. You can watch this on your phone, iPad, other tablet, or computer.

If you can’t figure this out before Sunday morning, never fear! Staff will be working next week, and Melissa Gonzalez, Deacon Tom Craighead, and Rev. Miguel Briones are all happy to help by phone.

Hope this helps!

Warm regards,

Melissa Sablack Gonzalez, Communications Administrator
