Men's Group

Welcome to the Men’s Group

St. Mark’s offers a variety of events, meetings and service opportunities for men of the church to get to know each other, build relationships, discuss and explore issues of faith and life and serve the community. All men of St. Mark’s are invited to any and all of the scheduled events. New ideas are always welcome.

The Tuesday morning group meets at 8:00 am at Glen Oak Cafe in Glen Ellyn and usually has about 6-8 men who gather fellowship and coffee. According to group coordinator Dick Anstee: “We are a social group, and we have no fixed agenda, program or study. We are mostly retired or semi-retired, enjoy each other’s company and talk about events of the day, family events, recent trips and past accomplishments. We would love to have you join us and check us out. Hope to see you Tuesday, or the Tuesday after that.”

The Saturday morning group meets from 8:00 am – 9:30 am in the Library and has about 7-10 participants each week, you can drop in anytime during the meeting. According to group co-coordinators Andrew Dorn and Cam Gowans: “Our emphasis is on giving men an opportunity to relax, get to know each other and talk about topics important to them. We are really focused on relationship first.” Get your weekend off to a good start and gather for coffee, fellowship and relaxed conversation in the church library. This group meets every week and discusses whatever is on anyone’s mind. We would love to see you there!
