Clint Moore III, MDiv, PhD The Reverend Dr. Clint Moore III is an Episcopal priest in the Diocese of Chicago. Dr. Moore is the Clinical Ethicist and directs the activities of the Center for Clinical Ethics at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. He also serves as the clinical ethics resource for Advocate’s Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, Good Shepherd Hospital, Sherman Hospital and Aurora’s Lakeland Hospital and Burlington Hospital. Dr. Moore is the director of ethics education for the Advocate Aurora Health System. He facilitates and presents ethics education for physicians, medical residents, nurses, and medical students at the hospitals. The majority of Dr. Moore’s work is in clinical ethics consultation. This involves working with patients, families, and medical staff in realistic goal-setting and working toward making decisions in difficult medical situations. Dr. Moore helped establish the Palliative Care Consultation Team and provides the team with ethics support in palliative care consultations across the diagnostic and prognostic spectrum. He is a board certified chaplain in the Association of Professional Chaplains and a Fellow in Thanatology. Dr. Moore has a masters in health care ethics, a doctorate in bioethics from Loyola University-Chicago, and is a trainer for the AMA/Robert Woods Johnson sponsored programs, Education for Physicians in End-of-Life Care (EPEC). He lives in Glen Ellyn, IL, and is the proud grandfather of five, loving father of two, and devoted husband of one.
